It seems that a beta for a new RED Control Pro app was recently released.

Don't have access to the beta link as I'm not a FB user.
Anyone try the app?

The original RED Control free app he mentions works perfectly on my iPad, so it's definitely not limited to mobile phone size.

I installed it on my iPad and gave it a brief test drive.
This is definitely on another level compared to the current free version.
Pro version seems to be geared more toward monitoring and controlling
multiple cameras at the same time.
You can link functions allowing you to simultaneously execute across multiple cameras.

I have 2 Komodos and was able to sync time code and record on both cameras with one button tap.
I'm sure there's A LOT more under the hood and plan to play around with it more.

The windows are MUCH more configurable than the standard version.

I don't think this will work in Ad Hoc mode where you use the camera's built in Wifi.
It seems to be aimed more for Infra structure mode where you connect all devices onto a proper network.
Makes sense for using multiple cameras.

It did crash on me once so it is beta. The interface is definitely a little more involved than the standard version.

It seems to be the next step in leveraging mobile devices to wirelessly interact
with our camera gear.
To quote a certain Sith lord "Impressive....Most impressive"

If this app could some how interface with an app like Movie-slate
we can see the realization of a low cost on-set workflow that might help painlessly monitor, control, and
transfer a lot useful metadata (like slate info, script notes, CDL, audio notes, etc) between multiple cameras (among other devices) to post production edit.
