I really want to perfect my cinematography and was wondering what light meters do you use and which ones do you recommend?

use
spectra IVa , Minolta auto meter IV & V , Minolta flash Meter VI , Minolta Spot meter F , Pentax Digital spot , Minota color temp II & III ...
i like em all .....
if had to just pick one from above ??
i'd go with the Minolta VI = it's both spot & incident ..plus you can input whatever F stop range ...ie: X stops under zone V to X stops over to match your camera response ...

One more vote for sekonic L758C "C = CINE"

As far as I know... only Sekonic (Japan) and Gossen (Germany) produce light meters today in the whole world... any other brand will be used... am I wrong?

There are other brands and the Spectra is still being produced according to their website. The spectra and the L758Cine are pretty much the most popular ones these days if you're talking about buying new. Kenko took over the Minolta line so they are making all the Minolta light and color meters now.

Hi Smaile, I bought a sekonic 758DR for profile it whit my Red One camera and in sekonic manual and videos I see instructions for profile a still cameras. Although the sekonic L758DR is for still and digital video cameras, I don't know how to profile my Red One. The problem is that whit still cameras you take several pictures according to the sekonic video and manual and whit those pictures you profile the lightmeter whit the camera but whit video cameras how you do. Would you please give me the instruction to profile it.

Regards

Antony David
