Real time scaling from 4K to 2K ?

I did some tests and found out that 2K 50P is not as smooth as 720 50P or 1080 50P though. Shutters are tried Can't help!

RED 2K shooting mode is Window ( Zoom up of the 4K frame ) so the " Judder " are more obvious than 4K.

I checked here at http://www.gecko-cam.com/

I am in the 50Hz zone so 1080 50P is my final products.

Any ideas.

Don't resize down from 2k to 1920 x 1080. Just crop the edges off in redcine.

Good to have you in the 50Hz regions. Have you tried to use 2K 50P to make a test to check the " Judder " issues from the RED's perview HDSDI output in either HD 720 50/60P.

Will you happy with it ?

I have 720 50/60P and 1080 50/60P cameras next to RED to compare the 25/50P pictures.

I know the difference between Cropped and Scale , and thanks for reminding others not to do that.

If you're comparing the HDSDI output, enable OPEN GATE in the VIEWFINDER menu. That will give you your 50P look, even in 4K.
