Hey guys,

we're currently trying to work out the best way to use the Raptor on our handheld Movi setup.
We'd like to put the DSMC3 7" Monitor on top of the gimbal for ease of use but as far as I know, there is currently only the option to connect it via the RMI on top of the camera?
On the Movi or the Ronin 2, we have to attach the top rail for the best stability though. This can't be attached properly as the RMI is always in the way.
Has anyone found a good workaround for that?

There is a longer cable - but it still attaches to the same connector on the camera. The top of the monitor can be moved to a 15mm rod mount.
This monitor has to connect to the bottom mount by the RMI connector on it. That is the one with the pogo pins. Other than that you would need a SDI monitor.
I don't know what the "top rail" means in this case.

Ignite Digi has a full rigging solution for this exact issue. Their “keystone chopped” cage allows the RMI to be mounted, then they have a riser which connects to the Ronin 2 top plate. I’ve been looking into it myself. It’s a tad pricey, but seems solid.

Ive used a lot of products from Ignite and can say they are extremely well thought out. Their V Raptor cage seems legit. If you have any questions just email Tom at ignite and he is a champ on answering and problem solving.. Super amazing service...

I have the longer RMI cable, but yeah, how am I to attach the top of the V-RAPTOR to the top cage mount of the MoVI Pro cage?

Also frustrating is any solution that adds a ton of weight to it (e.g. a large camera cage). The ideal methodology of gimbal set-ups is to be as lightweight as possible... Would love any suggestions from anyone having more success than I am.
