  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Raptor Audio - 3.5mm?

I have the same question. Pat, maybe I'll try that Alvin's cable. I emailed RED support and this is the answer I got from John:

I
'm not immediately seeing any RED approved third party accessories for this specific purpose on our list. Generally speaking, you're need an accessory to adapt the 3.5mm stereo to the camera's 5-PIN audio, but we don't have any specific accessories to recommend. Most of what I've personally seen so far has been geared towards adapting XLRs to 5-PIN.

Contacting Røde to see if they have a specific adapter recommendations would be one suggestion. I can also recommend the V-RAPTOR / DSMC3 User Facebook group and the forums at reduser.net as two other resources to inquire with our broader customer base to see what other customers are using for this purpose.

The 5 pin gives you 2 channels of audio. Using just one connector seems like missing half of the capability.

Yeah I'm looking to do the same thing. We produce a fishing show among other things, and have absolutely loved using the Rode Wireless Go 2 mics on our Dragon-X and Komodo. Just picked ups Raptor and are looking for a solution. We typically use the 32bit audio recorded internally on the mics, but we monitor and get clean scratch in-camera from the receiver.

LMK, I am in the same boat with the Rode Go2 mics and need a solution for V Raptor ASAP.
