I am working on project that requires me to ingest 3 streams of 6k footage into a program designed for gopros. http://www.kolor.com/autopano-video/

The program supports importing prores or cineforms to stitch, I am wondering if I can resurrect the long dead qt .mov wrappers to force autopano to take it. I really want to save a lengthy transcode step between the footage and the stitch. Im not really concerned about quality at this point as this is just a stitch for QC, and the real stitch would be done on selected shots in something like Nuke.

Does Dragon even work inside qt wrappers? Has anyone tried it in the last half decade?

If you want to save a lengthy transcode step and aren't worried about quality why not just transcode at a low debayer quality? I doubt the Quicktime wrapped R3D's will play nice in the Autopano software
