Long story short is I think the industry is going through some changes that are very similar to what happened in the 1920's. The move from silent to sound had a huge impact on the cinematic process, who did what and how they are paid. Much in the same way, the move to digital I think will have a larger impact then people expect(i.e. a lot of people are trying to "copy" their chemical processes to digital, but I think the impact changes the entire landscape). The experiment will cover the following processes: pre-production, production process, financial process, and distribution. The first blog is going over "time", using modern cost effective modules. I will be experimenting on 2.5D film processes, robotic crews, augmented reality interfaces, organic script methodologies, re-arranging post processes into production, etc ...

Lot of these are experiments, so I appreciate any comments on re-direction. My only real constraint is I am looking for a 100x cost improvement while increasing the cinematographers involvement in the entire creative process.
