Are people still having trouble with pro-res proxy buffer overflow? I have had it since the begining. Camera has been back to RED and I do all the usual secure format etc etc. Shooting lots of as live stuff, so can't exactly get it again. It is sporadic but last shoot was the worst, dropping out of record every 2-3 seconds until I shut down and started again. I'm thinking of upgrading to Monstro but can't handle the constant BS i get with this.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I haven't had that issue with my Epic-W but I don't duel record often(I assume you mean while duel recording?).

No one from RED able to offer a response?

Although this is a great place to get user feedback and hear from Red employees regularly, have you had any luck sending in a log file or contacting your rep? That has always worked well for me with issues I have had in the past.

Good luck and keep us updated.

You should secure format your mags. That may help. Also, are you running the latest 7.1 firmware (think that's the latest release version)? It's been running solid for me, but do make sure to secure format and see if that solves your issues.

Yes secure format and run latest release. I have RED on it but wanted to understand if anyone else is suffering. I have had several REDs over a decade so have been on this journey with all the firmware/audio/proxy/pre-roll issues. I feel like I can almost read logs I’ve been on this for so Long. That said 99% of my work is with Dragon Weapon so I wondered if there is a patten forming.

Which camera / Mag are you using? I know the 480 gb mag(red in color) has a faster transfer rate than my black 240 gb mag. I've only seen the buffer issue on my 240 gb(black) Mag // also, I've only used this feature once or so, considering how much data it then chews up.

Carbon Dragon Weapon, RED colour Mini mags 512gb (second batch). This is ongoing and intermittent but every shoot. Seems there is no real answer at present. VERY frustrating
