  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Processing a still frame

Tiff is lossless, Jpeg is a compressed. Tiff results in large files, Jpeg smaller ones. Tiff uses tagged metadata files, Jpeg is embedded.

If you are moving the image between different photo editing apps use TIFF otherwise a HQ Jpeg is good enough for most situations.

I'm trying to process a still frame, and I'm hoping someone can assist me in this. It can be either a tiff or a jpeg.

Thanks

please be more specific with your question.

Grading TIF files?

Grading TIF files?

REDCINE can output a single frame as TIF from an R3D and it can make some simple color adjustments.

If you run that TIF (un-adjusted) through the Grading and or Insert command in my system you can make a color corrected and or resized image saved as TIF or BMP, also... The KCC file made to hold the single frame (key frame) grading can then be used to Grade a whole shot or when cloned many shots, etc.

trim sliders

trim sliders

I'm in REDcine, and want to pull a single frame, how do I do that?

Go to the trim "tab" page and adjust the trim sliders so that you have the single frame play when you hit the play button, then go to the output "tab" page and select the frame file output type, TIFF, and then press the big red logo in the right side I think that is like the go button.

You can also change the output folder so you can find the file after it is saved, it should take less than two minutes to de-Bayer the 4K frame...
