  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

So I am having occasional startup issues with my S-X

I turn on and the little light goes amber and then hangs. The fan comes on and that is it. I have to unplug the battery to get out of this freeze.

Anyone else having this issue?

FYI - I am running the latest V3 firmware.

PS - Other than this I couldn't be happier with my S-X
 
Something similar happened to me a few times. After happening more than twice I let it sit there while booting and after 10-15 min (guesstimate, maybe more - seemed like an eternity) it finally booted up, and after that boot cycle it was fine. No idea what was happening or why it took so long to get the camera up though. Might be the same thing happening to you - let it sit there for a long time and see if it comes up? I know it's not much help but it's a start haha sorry.
 
This is not normal behavior. Please send us a log file (you may need to open a support ticket) so we can take a look.

What type of battery are you using? Does the same thing happen if you use the AC adaptor?
