  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Can it be done (doesn't seem like it), anyone know if it will ever be possible? I'm assuming that if the Odemax deal had gotten traction then there would have been some way to encode other formats to .red.

Not a crisis for me if it can't be done but it would make the Redray a lot more useful if there was a workflow for getting Premiere projects (some with mixed camera content) to .RED
 
Thanks again guys... will dig deeper into the import tool. Up until recently I didn't have any other 4k cameras so it wasn't an issue.
 
the dlx/tif sequence - will just show up as a file (when you navigate thru you source drives) - You will not have any RCX tool sets available on those imported files.

Absolutely... and kudo's for always being willing to share his expertise.

DPX import and .RED export of that content worked flawlessly... which was nice since I've been having problems today with R3D->.RED export's crashing RCX at 99% complete.
