  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Noah music video shot on dragon

This looks great man! I really like the lighting and the set.
What frame rates were used for the slowmo shots?

Good stuff. My only critique was the shutter on some of the slow motion stuff. A little to slow at times which causes streaky blur. Other than that, good job!

Noted..thanks for your critique and compliments. :)

Now that you mentioned it, I noticed that too.
Is there a best practice for shutter on slowo? Is it recommended to do faster than the typical 180 degrees?

Edit:
Found a good write-up:

A good rule of thumb to keep a film look whilst shooting slow motion is to have your shutter speed be double that of your frame rate. So, 24fps would be 1/48th (180°). 100fps would then be 1/200th(180°). For sharper results, you would need faster shutter speed. But then you start to lose light. So remember that. Just don't shoot 120fps with 1/48th shutter...

Fantastic lighting

Hi Chris, thanks for the compliment. We tried to light the scenes as realistic as possible without looking ugly. So nothing fancy just lighting the space instead of the people especially for the riot scenes.
