No sound source option in audio settings, no sound.

Hi red community,
I'm currently on day 2 of a 5 day shoot. Today, camera is not registering any sound, rode powered mic through xlr adaptor. Can see empty bars (eg not on varispeed) but no levels showing. In sound settings not showing ANY source options. Never seen this issue before, owned camera for 3 years. Horrible feeling it's a physical problem with sound connections. Image recording fine. Any ideas?

Cold Reboot by holding power button for 15-20 seconds.

Can we assume that you are using a mic/cable combination that you have successfully used before? Just want to make sure nothing seemingly small has changed.

Hi Terry, that is correct. Very simple connection - Rode videomic with internal battery through little $2 mono to xlr adaptor thingy. Also checked with second video mic, so fairly sure it's not the mic or cable. Also very strange I'm not seeing any options for SOURCE in sound options. Makes me suspect there may be some kind of problem with the camera sound connections. Tried cold-reboot and reset to factory settings and no luck, but haven't been able to reload firmware yet. Will try tomorrow.
