Hi,
We just received our REDRAY player without any plugin to encode. RED Europe refuse to provide us the license that missing.

Anyone else with the same issue?

Thanks a lot for your reply.

Fred

The RREncoder plugin is downloadable from RED through the account used to purchase the RDRAY. it's not included in the box.

You will receive an email with the link to get a special unreleased version of REDCINE-X PRO which lets you download the RREncode plugin. The REDRAY needs to be registered to get the email.

It was a special unreleased version back in the day. Now it's just the old version of RC-X Pro (v23). Newer versions of RCX don't support RREncoder. :-(

I can handle the truth

I can handle the truth

I have a RedRay player. I would like to burn several shorts to .RED for easy playback. I have been waiting for RRencode support on RCX-P Build 30.x.x to take advantage of the features/speed of the newer app.

Soooo, is such support in the offing - within 60 days perhaps? - or should I just suck it up and accept that v23 is the only option for the foreseeable future, and perhaps ever?

Not trying to be snarky, the development of a viable RedRay ecosystem has always been a bit of a "Hail Mary". If RCX-P v23 is the dedicated tool for RRencode then just tell us - I put on my big boy pants when I joined the Rebellion. I just don't want to fuss with v23 if a more fully featured RRencode tool will be available fairly soon…

Cheers - #19

There is nothing wrong with 20.3 just export your project as a .DPX sequence from your editor of choice, import said sequence into REDCINE-X Pro, sync audio, select from the 3 compression options and export your rrencode.
