Anyone had this issue? The Project Time Base is in Absolute but when I go into the display settings to change the display frame rate setting from relative to absolute it doesn't change....

Am I missing something.

It shows 30fps no matter what setting I choose. Instead of the absolute 29.97

Maybe I'm not understanding the situation, but the Absolute and Relative settings control your shutter speed, not your frame rate. Absolute means that as you increase your frame rate, your shutter speed will try to stay the same(1/48 of a second at 24fps, and stays at 1/48 if you change frame rate). Relative means the shutter speed changes to keep the same ratio relative to your frame rate (1/48 at 24fps, 1/60 at 30fps, 1/120 at 60fps, etc.).

I hope that helps somehow.

Its has to do with how the the actual numbers are displayed on the monitor. The relative is 30fps while the absolute is 29.97. At least what I am talking about.

Patrick, you may be confusing the terminology a little. You may be talking about displayed framerate vs. Actual framerate.

haha all I know is my display says 30fps on the display. Where before this firmware it said 29.97 fps when I was shooting 30fps.
There is no option to change how the framerate is shown. In older builds (I believe anything before 4.0) we showed rounded framerates. We now show the actual framerate to avoid any confusion.

What version are you using?

Are you saying your project rate is 29.97 but your sensor framerate can only be set to 30?

Can you post a picture of the screen showing both?

Yessss! Trent. I'm on the newest firmware.

My project rate is set to 29.97. While I only have the option in my drop down frame rate menu on the display to set it to 30fps. 24 25 30fps.

I rolled back to the previous build released in August because I have shoot in the morning. Which shows 29.97 frame rate and 29.97 project rate.

I can post screenshots tomorrow.
