We are pleased to announce*that*Award winning colourist and colour scientist Dado Valentic has launched a unique new week-long training course that is set to change the way feature film and broadcast productions are graded.
Valentic's 'Colour Management for Film and TV Productions' course is the first of its kind, introducing colourists, DITs, DoPs, VFX artists, post production supervisors and editors to brand new techniques for managing colour throughout the production process. It brings sophisticated, ultra-flexible high-end feature film colour management workflows to all genres of film and television production.
The skills taught over the duration of the course not only enhance creativity but also save time and therefore money. The traditional linear production process, where grading is left until the very end of post-production, is replaced by a much more supple approach to colour management, with the look first being established on-set and then filtered down through production, editorial, VFX and on to the final grade.
This ground breaking course is supported by the BFI and Creative Skillset.
The training will be held at British Universities Film and Video Council. First course to take place: 5th - 9th September.
