Don't know if this is posted anywhere, but does the Scarlet-W give out a 4K signal through the SDI jack from the expander module?

I plan on staying strictly in R3D territory and use the 2K Pro Res internally for smaller jobs, but if a client is demanding 4K Pro Res, I think with that BM 4K external recorder it could be an easy option and with it being so affordable, can have it paid for in 1 job.

Can anyone at RED answer this for me? Thanks!

Still waiting ever so patiently for my allocation! Keep up the INCREDIBLE work guys!

Bummer. :-/

On my mind, one of the main advantage of RED family cameras is R3D. So it's hard for me to imagine the client who rent the RED for ProRes.

I'm finding my clients are SUPER happy there is an option to have 2k Pro res files to go along with the R3D. Many projects need to turn around really really fast. (little interviews or w/e) in these situations 2k does the job fine

I'm on the same boat. Most of my clients have been focusing on mobile videos and 1080 is still more than enough! Plus, when well lit, 2k can look just as good...
