Hello all,

Shooting a feature on RED. Shot yesterday on the RED drive and filled the drive about 45%. My editor has informed me today that he has accidentally formatted the drive before the files had been transferred. I had heard that there is some software to recover the formatted files. I have searched google and here and couldn't find anything. I assume I'm posting this in the right place. Thanks for your help. Hopefully this can be corrected.

Go to RED.com
download REDUNDEAD
if you have trouble following it, do a REDUNDEAD search there are several people very good at using it that give good instructions.

R3D Data Manager will recover the files using REDundead, then organize them, recreate your RDM/RDC folder structure and re-create the quicktime reference movies, all from a simple GUI interface.

Whatever you do, do not write anything to that drive until you have verified each shot is on multiple different media and can playback correctly.

Great, thank you so much guys. redundead seems to be working. Thank you!!!!!
