I was set to get the O-Box WM today, then spoke with one of the companies who sell it, and they said it would be the wrong MB for a still lens - and recommended the MMB-2.

I have the new Canon 24-70 II on order, and would probably add a Canon 16-35.

I'd be using a Cinevate Durus FF.

Any Pros/Cons for using these MB's with these lenses?

I'd use 15mm LWS rods.

Any accessories that I should order along with them?

Will be mostly shooting tripod based inside, but would like to be able to shoot outdoors also.

Thanks!

The only solution I've seen thus far has been the LockCircle with a sliding ability specifically for Still Lenses if thats all your gonna use.

I want the LockCircle Matte Box for all my Still Lenses, it's hard to find a good $1000 Mattebox I think. Been looking at the O-Box for sometime but I haven't sprung on it, correct me if I'm wrong but I'm not in love with the Plastic Filter Tray.

I personally prefer the MMB-1 over the MMB-2. I've worked with the MMB-1, has good quality nice to use worth the extra bucks. The MMB-2 I have yet to use in the field but I've played with it at Filmtools, has some special features to work with new accessories but seems really built down and basic.

The problem with the 24-70 is that the front of the lens moves a few INCHES as you zoom in and out, which requires you to move the mattebox fore and aft with each zoom adjustment...

Cant have your cake and eat it too! Canon still lenses are pretty nice, but are not designed with cinema needs in mind. For that, get an Angie DP.

Does anyone know if the new version 24-70 2.8 works the same way? I haven't seen one yet and Canon claims they won't ship until July I think.
