I was shooting a concert a few weeks back, and saw someone with what looked like H4N mics attached directly into his front audio ports on the Scarlet. I meant to ask, but completely blanked.

Any idea what this solution might have been? I'm assuming it was for scratch audio, but that's better than nothing!

Hey Brendan,

If you have a double male ended 3.5mm cable, you can feed audio from a H4N straight into the brain. You plug one end of the cable into the audio out (headphone jack of the H4N) into either of the mic jacks on the front of the scarlet. You can either feed from the H4N microphones, or plug in even better XLR microphones into the H4N itself. That gives some pretty good audio straight to camera and enables you to balance it on the zoom too.

Those little button mics you get from amazon are great for scratch audio to sync with later
