Hello, i am waiting for my Scarlet! Since i have been a Canon 7D user in the past 2 years, my glass is of course, Canon SLR. My question is: wich matte box can be useful for this combination (Scarlet + canon SLR)? Is there any mattebox that works with both Scarlet and 7D? Thx for your answers!

Any mattebox will work with any camera, it has nothing to do with Scarlet or 7D. It's just a matter of how the mattebox is supported (rods or clamp-on) and how it will interface with the lens (clamp-on or rod mount)

There are already a number of threads about matteboxes on REDUSER. Please search/browse the forums (the DSMC Accessories forum has a few Mattebox threads) before posting a new thread... However, I suggest looking at the Genus Elite with a "Nun's Nickers" lens interface, or the OConnor O-Box.

Both can be supported by 15mm LW rods, which you can put on the Scarlet with the Viewfactor FMJ Bottom Plate and 15mmLWS bracket, or the equivalent from WoodenCamera.

Enjoy.
