There has been an unusually large amount of "thread crapping" lately. That is where you enter other peoples' for-sale threads and complain about pricing or other aspects of an item up for sale. There has been a recent thread discussing the matter. People are going to start getting temporary bannings if they can't contain themselves.

And a little reminder: When a deal seems to good to be true, it usually is.

In any online dealing, watch out for red flags, for example: low post number, newly registered member, dodgy stories, unwillingness to disclose serial number, demanding payment via Western Union. Ask for references and do check them. (You can also check previous posts by the same reduser) When dealing with someone you don't know, only spend money you can afford to lose. (On larger transactions you can also use an escrow service, such as Escrow.com.) If unsure, it is cheaper to walk away than get scammed. And take up Jason's offer.

If there is a buyer or seller that you are communicating with, please feel free to shoot me a pm anytime with a link to the member's profile and I will be glad to check for any immediate red flags on our end. It is no guarantee of safety, but it is a step that you can feel willing to take and I will gladly do for you.

updated original post. please refer to the global announcement for updated rules and regulations on the marketplace. This thread will remain stuck for a week or so until folks get acclimated.

http://www.reduser.net/forum/announcement.php?f=69

the most notable changes (besides structure) are the required use of thread prefixes, the ability to sort a sub-forum by prefix (just click the prefix you desire), and the ability to mark a thread as sold.

Please note that there has been a slight modification to the marketplace guidelines. See the announcement that is view-able in any marketplace sub-forum for more details.

The short version is:

Effective today, you must be registered for 60 days before you will be allowed to create threads, or sell in the marketplace on reduser. You can still buy, and post in existing threads, but you cannot offer up items for sale on reduser prior to being a member for at least 60 days.
