dear redusers,
please check out the trailer for a horror feature film that I shot this year on a black magic pocket camera:

The film is directed by Mahsa Ghorbankarimi (my sister) and Alexander Gorelick (brother in law) :)

cheers

Congrats on shooting a feature!
As far a the look goes that camera leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion. Were you shooting in 30FPS? The small sensor (large DOF) makes it feel like an older low budget horror and a lot of the lighting is pretty flat for a horror. Just my two cents on the cinematography, but it's not small feat shooting a feature!

Mo,

so so glad to see you and the family doing what you do well, making films! I'm sure with your deep vfx background and after your own feature you guys will keep making films and keep getting better!

makes me so happy to see this post and to know that you guys are pushing ahead!

Hi Eric, Thank you for your comment and advise, i do hear you, but this film due to the story, had a very specific look into it, base on the directors vision. even the camera angles and framing where very limited base on the way the story was and camera had a specific character that you would know if you watch the film and it's hard to see it base on the trailer.
cheers

Thank you David, and at last we started working together that is a good thing. this was my sister's first feature and with all the challenges we had, it was a very fun project to do.
hope to see you soon,
cheers

Thank you Dennis, its very kind of you, I do like the footage coming out of this little camera a lot, but man it's not fun to shoot with it. with the new firmware its a bit better now :)
