  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

LTO- Mac, Thunderbolt

Yes, that's the way to go. Just be sure to make external devices visible on the desktop so you can see the mtape drive icon on the desktop after it mounts. This small detail has tripped up several people when they first get their unit.

I am drowning in HDDs. Anyone have experience with this:

Thanks!

I was looking at one of these mLogic units until I read this from BRU Sales:

At this point customers are reporting many issues with the device (they are not BRU issues, they can be duplicated with any software)--at first it looked like it was only limited to customers using the device with Mac Pro systems where any Bluetooth (including phones) were enabled anywhere near the device, but it looks like the issues go deeper than that.

At this point, based on the various customer feedback reports, we do not recommend using the Mlogic Thunderbolt device, instead we recommend using one of the Mlogic regular SAS drives with a Thunderbolt expander separately, or a regular SAS device from TOLIS (we OEM from HP) with the Thunderbolt expander (we sell Sonnet brand as they are quiet and rock solid), or one of the other manufacturers.

Kind Regards,
BRU Sales

What are the issues with these units? I couldn't find the original post from BRU sales that you quote. We are currently using one of these units without any problems, but want to know what to expect.
