I have seen the new scarlet, and I already have a love hate relationship with the styling. I like it, but at the same time I don't quiet know. I hope that it is one thing that might change for the better without notice.
Could we have a styling competition, with free scarlet for the winner Jim? Maybe a full kit for the winner, and scarlets for runner ups.
Just give us the basic volume and dimensions that have to be accommodated and a proposed case style can be designed around that.
I congratulate you on the price and restraint. I think in this day and age, it is a good price. So much is being offered by cheap cameras now. I have compared image quality of the Casio EX1 and the $200 Aiptek 720p60 cameras, and while the video modes might not be professional grade there has been great advancements in latitude, SNR and color. But this is raising the standard of the low end, and the prosumer end has also improved.
Is that 100Mbit/s codec, or is that really 100MB/s? In light of what is happening elsewhere, could I suggest a top end of at least 200Mbit/s?
Well, it looks like I might have to get the Scarlet, great camera, unless something else comes along (a year is a long time to wait
). And there is enough latitude in the price to not effect my plans for a radically designed $200 low end pocket cinema hybrid camera based on my latest designs (if I had the funding).
