Hi everyone,

I'm having a strange, unfortunate issue where the left EVF/LCD isn't working on my Epic-W Helium. In the monitor menu, it defaults to HDMI for left EVF and LCD, and when I switch those over to EVF or LCD, it appears to take, but they then just switch back and I never get a signal to the LCD/EVF. I'm using a LEMO adaptor, and have tried two and confirmed that the adaptor and cable are good. I've reinstalled the latest firmware with no change. I suppose that the left port may have simply failed? I imagine that if it had failed, it would simply be reporting that it was sending a signal, rather than automaticlaly switching to HDMI, but over the many generations of RED I've owned, I've learned that problems and symtoms are not necessarily linear.

The one variable is that I was doing a demo for a class, and I was told that they had a field montior, so didn't bring mine. When I arrived, I found that they did have the monitor, but no SDI cables, so I had to switch my camera over to HDMI (first time I'd ever done that in all the years I've owned it). So perhaps something in it's head got stuck on the idea of HDMI (which I plan to never use again)?

Any wisdom is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
