L&T Not loading full clip? only Segments

Hey all,

Has anyone had any issues will loading in 4kHD footage or any Red footage Through teh log and transfer and some clips only loading a small portion of the clip.

Like a 2 min clip will load the first 42sec

We are shooting 4KHD 16:9 RC28 and Loading in at ProRES 422 (HQ) it only happens to some shots not all of them.

also there is no error message or anything to show that they loaded in wrong
we discovered the clips where not full when we Multi clipped the footage and one camera would run out before the others.


Any help would be appreciated.

I had this same issue last week. I was able to solve it by physically setting in and out points for the clips at the beginning and end of each in the L&T window. A bit of a hassle but it worked for me.

That was my thought I did that on the last batch I got in and there were still a bunch of clips that captured the first couple secs.

Log and Transfer has never worked very well for us, we got intermittent stability from it, and in some cases would crash FCP completely. We steer clear of L&T and use Redline to process out our footage. Much faster and more reliable.
