Hopefully by the time this firmware is a release build I'll have a new Komodo X.

In the meantime, hope RED manages a few more updates to Komodo OG.

3K mode (s16 format) with 75fps or perhaps more.

Slower shutter below 1/24.

AF face detect- I know Jarred says they're at the limits of Komodo but I have faith in RED engineers.

This is a pretty impressive update - I have only used the face AF for a few minutes but it seems to be a marked improvement. I have not been able to figure out what the "function toggle" and "top button modes" do or mean. Any insight?

same here.. I think it’s an unfinished part of the update. I think they may make those arrow buttons custom functions.. like increase aputure or shutter, etc. I tried it as well and couldn’t figure it out. I never use those buttons anyway. When I click up or down it randomly changes f stop sometimes, shutter sometimes, and when I hit select I can’t even see which is highlighted. Hopefully they let us remap those buttons to something useful and I’ll use them.

Tested firmware 1.1.1 AF | A great start!

Face detect AF works good when facing directly at the camera! It struggle to keep the focus when shooting weird angles (down up or side angle). Hope RED improves the algorithm.

AF is the future and hope we see improvements over next few release cycles.
