Dear all,
I posted a question in post-production hardware about JL Cooper Eclipse faders but got no response. I wonder if anyone here has experience using this product for sound mixing with FCP7. You may see the original thread by following this link:

I sent an email to JL Cooper last week but still got no reply yet.
Thanks in advance.

I think FCP 7 is a poor choice for sound in general. You would be much better off using a dedicated audio editing/mixing program like Pro Tools, Logic, or Cubase. (Preferably the former.)

You are not wrong, but in our situation, at least for now, FCP7 is the most suitable choice. In this case, JL Cooper faders may help. In fact, let's say that we eventually use Pro Tool to mix the sound. Isn't it nice to have a small JL Copper faders sitting next to the keyboard to adjust the sound in case we need? Do you have any idea about JL Cooper fader?
Thank you very much.

Well, ok, Marc, let's say using Pro Tools. Do you know if it's possible to have roundtripping between it with FCP7? In other words, how FCP7 communicate with Pro Tools?
Thanks a lot.

One method is to export an OMF or AAF from FCP7, and then import the OMF or AAF into Pro Tools. This is covered at length in the Pro Tools manual.

There are many, many tutorials, classes, and books out there that provide all the info on how to coordinate picture editing systems with Pro Tools and how to put all the pieces together for final delivery.
