  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Is this fan noise normal on my Red One MX?

Hey guys,

I've uploaded a short video demonstrating fan noise on my R1MX. Not sure if it's normal or not. Would love some feedback from other R1 users.


EDIT: Rebuilt the fan, and oiled the bearings. Sounds much better!

Also be sure to check your fan settings in camera as well as those can make a difference.

Was it easy to access the fan?
 
No, getting to the fan required disassembling the entire body of the camera. The bearings were bad on my fan. After replacing it I can't even here the fan anymore. The R1MX uses a server/projector blower fan.
