  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

IS THERE ANYTHING WE CAN DO!?! RED MX KITS FOR 6k??/

I bought a body for $4,200, and gathered my kit from users on here for a about $7,200 total. Shoulder rig, and rails included.

PS. I feel horrible not being able to shoot with it yet though. Sitting on my tripod behind me. Having to cram 40 hours in 4 days, and then school kind of takes the time out of shooting.

Adam,

Was that a Red One or R1 MX? I'm looking to piece together a shoot ready kit.

If you want prices to increase then engaging the services of a priest is you best bet.

It's a great B camera, and back-up body and will continue to be. I see it all the time used as such with an Epic as A-cam - it's what we do and it works and it's smart. They match perfectly - there are no problems. I dare say Red One MX is extremely reliable, more so than Epic and much more do than a Scarlet.

Since contemplating selling for 12K 8 months ago, our Red One MX has made $6K. It will continue to make money. Since it shares so many accessories, you mostly just need to carry the body, an extra matte box and a battery plate, and there you go, another amazing cam in a smallish Pellican case that weighs 15 lbs or so.

This is the right way to think for folks who know how to get value from their gear verses people who complain because they are trying to sell an old camera in a buyers market.
