Is the Touchscreen Monitor required for seting audio levels?

Pretty simple question. Hopefully simple, well informed answers will follow! Now why it takes a room full of people to discuss such a basic and important requirement of a piece of equipment like this to get this information, instead of an official RED resource is another issue.

you can do it with the side handle. I just tested it. I would assume with the redmote as well.
