Is Scarlet "metal" ??

So many pro camcorders out there, like the Sony EX3, are constructed mainly of plastic, some of it rather on the thin side. But, I understand that the RED-One is mostly metal.

How much of the Scarlet's construction is metal? Is there any plastic, and if so, what parts ?

Are most of RED's accessories, such as external monitors, flex arms, etc, made of metal ?

The latest informations we got is that it might be made out of magnesium alloy.

The prototypes are aluminum. At RED Day they said they still weren't sure yet.

I don't think Jim and Co. even know what plastic is. If I'm not mistaken, his business cards are metal

Unless I am really misremembering...

RED STATION (RED's CF/1.8"/2.5" modular power and storage system) is made of aluminum, unlike plastic. Moreso than most, RED seems to go the extra mile to make things bulletproof.

And please, don't actually try to shoot your camera.
