ipad slate app and timecode jam

anyone know what is the device jamming the TC and how is it done into an ipad.

The iPad has mic in - LTC timecode is just an audio signal. I'm actually working on something very similar as well.

yes, the ipad app is in beta and looks like demoed at the NAB

Doesn't look to me like they are taking the audio signal, their sync is between multiple slates (iPhones) or by hand--it looks like but I certainly could be wrong.

yes, i think it's synced with a pro timecode output device.
i'm thinking to test it with SD702T with the following config:

not sure if it will work, but it should; then my concern is whether the app/ipad can display accurately once synced.
