Well, buy IMS out (and set them up as European Service Centre - although want one in the UK too) and Birger (and give Erik Birger a job!), and have a mount system that is lens brand agnostic!

And go into business with Viewfactor to develop a lens agnostic autofocus system as good or better than Canon's sports DSLRs.

Long telephoto, wide wide, all f2.8 or faster at consumer prices? Wishing the best, but not expecting it!

Actually RED should buy IMS mount from P+S Technik, then Birger EF and upcoming Birger Nikon DX mounts from Birger Engineering, Inc.

Immediately they should make Birger EF and DX swappable on IMS.

After that RED would have the most of still photo and cine lenses available for RED ONE, EPIC, MONSTRO, even Scarlet and whatever is coming up later.

In between they should also make SDK R3D available to everybody to make from RED cine cameras

the most available/affordable RAW codec workflow at digital cinema acquisition industry and DSLR market together.

But just in the case if they really want to have that (!?).

Mr. Jannard showed and obviously has that sort of ambition.

That's clear.

So RED, take it or leave it this extraordinary and revolutionary idea about the mounts and workflow just for everybody.

Of course it's work and it's available ONLY with RED cameras.
