Hi all,
When sorting out clips to just keep the ones that are really in focus, I use the fast Red Player (just by clicking in the clip name).
I use full debayering to check focus accuracy but the problem is that in the viewing scale 100% doesn't have a one-by-one pixel correspondence in my screen.
I use an iMac Retina 5K display so it's with are 5120 pixels. It's settings in the Apple's monitor configuration are in the "more space", so it is in it's fine detail and very small letters.
Since my Weapon have 6 K resolution (6144 pixels wide), one would expect that the difference in size between the "fit W" scale option in Red Player and the 100% will be just those 6144-5120=1024 pixels (1K), which means that it will be just a size increase of around 20% more.
But when I choose the 100% scale in Red Player, the image almost doubles its size (like if my display only had around 3000 pixels wide!)! That is, this fake 100% is in reality much bigger (maybe a 170% or more, just guessing).
So it looks like Red Player doesn't know the resolution of my display (although the relative sizes change with the resolution option that I choose in monitor preferences of my Mac system, given me always bigger images with less accuracy).
So, my question is: is it possible to configure monitor preferences in Mac and in Red Player so that when I choose the scale 100% it is a truly pixel-by-pixel size to check focus accuracy?
Thanks!
