How many audio channels can I get from the Pro I/O Module. Straight or with the 788t.

I recently bought the Pro I/O module and used ok the sound from the 2 XLR'S on it.

I was told I can have 2 more from with this cable that I ordered: http://www.red.com/store/products/pro-io-digital-audio-cable

How many more channels in addition to these 4 channels can I get? Can I get 8?

Is R3D capable of 8 channels?

I also have the 788t, is there a way to connect the 788t to the I/O module and import to R3D some extra channels or all 8 channels from the 788t in real time as I record?


Who can make such cables, if I need special modifications for 8 channels either straight or through the 788t? Is Red able to make these cables for us who need them?

If you have the 788, why not just sync these 8-track WAV files all up in your editing program?
