  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hands on with Raven

This, on the other hand, I think is a nice enough picture.

Agreed.... THAT is the photo to drool over. Looking rather nice side by side. No real reason to get amped up over a photo of a monitor

so the raven is slightly shorter, or smaller? or is it an optical illusion?

FWIW (not much really....) the metadata on this picture (there are much nicer pix in the article than this) shows that this photo was taken with a Sony A7s II, using this lens; Sony Distagon T* FE 35mm f/1.4 ZA.
What I said still applies. Phone or not. But good detective work, lol.

I am not amped up about phones or monitors. I am just defending Dan Chung, who is a photojournalist, not a DP so to speak. There were some attacks on him that seemed unnecessary.

The Raven has the ultra slim Jetpack module, while the Weapon has I/O + Redvolt XL. Both cameras are nearly identica in size, but appear different because of the modules. Super excited. :)

The more I read about it the more I want to get me a Raven just as a B-run-n-gun-cam.

That is my plan. And why I didn't upgrade to weapon just yet.. The epic drAgon is still earning it's keep, the raven is gonna do some work now.. And hope to save up for what's next
