Hello all,

Built a hackintosh with the tonymacx86/unibeast install method that works flawlessly, except when a Red Rocket is installed - more specifically, the hardware can be installed, but only when the kext is loaded (redrocket.kext) does the system starting getting stuttery. Mouse/window movement is jumpy, and audio skips around, regardless of what interface is tried - I've tried built-in, external USB, and the audio out from my Blackmagic Decklink.

Have tried GraphicsEnabler=No, but the system won't get as far as the desktop without it.

Specs:
Asus P9X79 WS w/3101 BIOS (voodootscsync.kext loaded in /E/E to avoid having to boot with cpus=1 on this BIOS, which board came pre-loaded with)
64GB (8x8GB) RAM
3930k processor (tried at stock speed, but normally running at 4.2GHz)
2x EVGA 3GB GTX580 Classified
1x Decklink Extreme
1x Red Rocket
1x PCIe FW800/FW400 expansion card

boot.plist is as follows:

<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Kernel</key>
<string>mach_kernel</string>

<key>Legacy Logo</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Timeout</key>
<string>2</string>
<key>Quiet Boot</key>
<string>Yes</string>

smbios.plist as follows:

<key>SMfamily</key>
<string>MacPro</string>
<key>SMproductname</key>
<string>MacPro5,1</string>
<key>SMcputype</key>

<string>Mac-F221BEC8</string>
<key>SMserial</key>
<string>xxxxxxxxxxx</string>

Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

hi Ryan. I may a bit off topic but wanted to ask about red rocket and dual GPU in a hackintosh.
my system is currently up and running with GA-Z77X-UP5 TH motherboard, i7 processor and 580classified gpu.
the moment i add a 2nd gpu (gt120) it stops working.

also im not able to install red rocket driver. is there a workaround? (installer fails at the end every time i try)

thank u
