Running into some trouble with my Nvidia Titan Black using the Scratch software. It will not playback RED R3D RAW media files very well at all. Even at 1/8 debayer it has trouble playing back realtime (these are 5K Epic files at 23.98). Assimilate said their software uses OpenCL (versus CUDA possibly for Resolve) and that there is a bug in the Nvidia driver that causes the playback problems with de-bayering of the RED media clips.

Anyone have any experience on this issue? We tried OSX 10.9.5 with web driver 334.01.03f01 and then even rolled back to 10.9.2 with drier 331.01.01f04. Both had the same problem with the stuttering playback. If we switch to the OSX native driver and our old GT120 card the playback is better and we can get realtime playback at 1/8 debayer (even though that card is much weaker).

Anybody know if there is a better driver combination to use? Or maybe if it might get fixed in 10.10 and a new Nvidia driver?

Thank so much,
Peter
