GGSFoto 3x Ocular Waist Finder - Possible to fit on the Komodo?

Hey guys,

My Komodo seems to arrive this or next week, and I'm now looking for some extras.
I was always attracted to the idea of shooting with the Komodo like medium format style, and was looking into an old Hasselblad 500cm waist level finder and the Vipergears plate to mount it.
But I also found the solution from GGSFoto. And its also a lot lot cheaper.

I mailed the support to ask if this could fit the Komodo, and they replied that they are not sure since they don't have a Komodo. But assume it won't fit.
They've sent me two pictures that show the dimensions of the Occular and the Mounting plate (which consists of 4 single metal frame bars.) They're attached below.

Can somebody measure the dimensions of the Komodo on the top part and check out if this would fit on the Komodo? Without obstructing the buttons.
Because the outer frame of the ocular is quite thick, this may be an issue....

Won’t the display and menus be flipped horizontally when using a waist level finder? That’s how it works on my Hasselblad at least.

hasselblad has a mirror inside... komodo doesnt. WLF wont turn the image but prism view finder would

Hey greg,

These images seem pretty spot-on. It's only 70 mm across from the left edge of the Komodo to the button wells. 73mm wide would certainly be right at the edge of the buttons. Also, my screen is 52mm by 52mm, even though the top glass is 60mm wide by 66mm high.

I'm using the Vipergears with a prism viewfinder myself. Hopefully there will be an update to enable mirrored display on the Komodo.
