Havent posted for a long time but hoping for some help.
I regularly shoot at 5K on my Epic X (which is still a great camera. Eventually i WILL upgrade though) . I use a Mac Pro with dual AMD 700 Video cards and edit with both FCPX and Premiere. Latest software for everything. I am getting horrible blocky artifacts regularly Pro Res exports. I also am getting artifacting in exports with Premiere Pro.
My question. Is anyone regularly editing 5K footage using FCP X on a mac pro with success? I am beginning to suspect that it is a hardware problem with the videocards.
I would appreciate your thoughts.
