Since I am an Owner/Operator my redrocket-x card has gotten very little use. However, it still works perfectly and it has never left its beefy Sonnet Thunderbolt 2 3xPCI slot enclosure next to my iMac.
Since I use this so little and it is in perfect condition and now with the approach of 8K media, the much higher data rates of the red Weapon and increased usage of HDR, I thought it would be a good time to put it up for sale.
The enclosure sells for over $1K and the card sells for over $5K. I'm looking to sell both for only $3.5K and I guarantee that they work perfectly or I will do a full refund.
For someone who also does post-production the redrocket-x card is still really a necessity to do post-production. Being able to editor redraw in realtime is easy with the redrocket card, but it is nowhere near possible without it. Not to mention render-times for shots taking hours or days without the card instead of seconds with the card.
I am motivated to sell, but it is not urgent, I think that the value of the redrocket-x card will be around for a long time.
