Hey all - Mike Curtis of HD for Indies here (yep, first one to ever write about Red!)
I've received my Stage 2 Epic-X, so the time has come to sell my faithful Red One #417 (executed) with 710 hours on it. It is a very complete kit, with everything you need and extras as well. It has an original Mysterium sensor, MX upgrade is $5750 still and can be done in about a week. Happy to get that done as an original owner if you want me to handle the upgrade (your cost, of course).
All gear is in Los Angeles, happy to give demos and spend a day after purchase with you showing you how it all goes/works together if you're local or willing to come here.
I have original boxes for everything that are in great shape if you want those too.

Other Goodies:
….also includes extra cables for EVF, LCD, and Red Drive - so you DO have spares!
I have an extra handle (can't remember if right or left) that has a stripped tightening screw - fix or use for parts.
Also power cables for the AC adaptor, Red Drives, battery chargers, etc - everything you need.
I've even got a couple of Red branded hats (never worn) - one medium, one large I'll throw in for free. : )
Also included are a color printed version of the manual (Red never included a hard copy), and a couple of books on Red One operation, post workflow, and recommended accessories - quite handy.
Everything fits in the Red branded case except for some power stuff (or bits you might not want to bring along) and a fliptop bin, so you're ready to go.
Original price paid for all this gear when new: about $39,000
Selling Price: $16,000
That's about 60% off what I paid for it.
I'm also selling my lens package, see separate post, but these NEVER RENTED OUT barely used lenses are good as new - I've only used these on a handful of personal projects, always in my possession/operation - I have the 25/35/50/85/100/300mm Red Pro Primes, and an 18-50 zoom, with cases, and lens support and NDs for the 300mm. $22,500.
Why do I think this is a good deal?
-This is a working camera. Things like on camera playback, XLR based audio input, and other features WORK on this camera - not the case on Epic/Scarlet as of this date.
-Want to shoot 4K at more than 25fps? You can on this camera. Want to shoot 120fps at 2K? You can on this camera
-want to do long record times? Even with the most cost efficient media on Epic/Scarlet, the $3200 256GB SSD module, it works out to $2376 per record hour of media for 4K@24p. Hope you have data wranglers handy. I've got 7 hours of recordable 4K 24p media with this system included. 7 hours of Scarlet media is about $16,600 - more than I'm asking for this entire package.
-want an EVF? Red has been in a state of backorder on EVFs for what - 1 to 2 years now? This one is here and works.
-highly versatile configuration - want hand held? Want to set up on 15mm rods? On 19mm rods? You're all set with everything included here. Start pricing that on a Scarlet, you'll be pretty shocked....and the parts are backordered anyway.
-If this seems like a high price to you, please take a look at what a similarly equipped/configured Scarlet will cost. Then factor in the currently nonfunctional attributes, then factor in the backorder on parts situation, then factor in Red's ability to accurately predict when they'll ship parts or enable features. I love those guys, they do amazing things, but accurately predicting when things will work and parts will ship is not one of their strong suits.
Do you plan on shooting high frame rates? Do you need long record time capability? Do you need XLR audio? Do you want to play back on camera now? Do you want all the accessories in hand, rather than backordered? Then buy this camera. Upgrade to MX in about a week, and you've got a full shooting package with a fresh 90 day warranty, AND EVERYTHING WORKS. NOW.
Shooting a feature in the near future? How much were you looking at spending on rental? Buy this now, it all works reliably, flip it when the project is done.
Interested? PM me.
