In April of 2016 my Red Epic Dragon was stolen from my home. 3 months ago I received an email from Red asking if I would authorize a transfer of ownership for my Camera, S/N 06861. I declined the transfer right away, contacted the police department and was assigned a Detective immediately. Red has been awesome throughout this process; they gave the detective the email and phone number of the person in possession (PIP) of my camera.

It turns out the PIP bought my camera from the thief on Ebay. I was able to review the Ebay posting and it was absurd: red flags every sentence basically screaming that the camera was stolen but the PIP purchased it anyway.

The detective has spoken with the PIP, making clear that he will be charged with a felony if he does not return the camera. Unfortunately this charge only holds up in the State of Washington where the camera was stolen.

The PIP refuses to send the camera back! He doesn't believe the detective is actually a Police Officer which is incredibly frustrating.

We know the PIP is in FLORIDA. I'm hoping there is a strong community of Red owners in FLORIDA that can help me if they hear of anything. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

get the feds involved !!!!!
