Flashing Red Timecode?

I was processing some footage in RC 20 for the first time and noted that the timecode readout would turn red for the last 6 frames of each second (29.97 footage). I thought this was an error but saw nothing wrong with the footage and it rendered fine to 1920 ProRes. Without a manual to refer to, it's kinda hard to know what this "red timecode" means. Any clues?

Were you rendering to 25 fps ?

No. Rendering to 29.97.

Any word on this? It just happened to me too. Shot 29.98 and getting random red timecode for about 6 frames or so.

I had the same issue happen to me while exporting to DVCPRO HD 720. It's the first time I shoot 29.97 with the cam and the first time this happens. Shot a mixture of 4,3,2K material to RED Drive. Like you Rob I see nothing wrong with the ftg, but would love to know what this means...
