I have a client that we shoot a lot of Red footage for. They own the camera. Nice! They want the finished 4k project to be played back on their 60" 4k monitors. They develop 4k monitors for their industry. So of course the desire to show off 4k finished product on a 4k monitor. The objective is to be able to play the 4k in a showroom, small company theatre, and at trade shows. Currently they are showing clips from the camera, played using redcine-x and red rocket, but want the finished projects shown.
Based on the above information and criteria, does anyone know of best ways to finish out in a 4k format and accomplish the objective? Our successful workflow has been Avid MC for an HD finish. While we are Avid die-hard editors, we are open to any and all 4k finishing work flows that would accomplish the end result and on a mid to lower end budget.
