Got my Red #1070.

Ordered a whole whack of stuff, got all excited when it arrived. Just unpackaged everything and it's missing Red bottom plate so I can't even put it together

I went through my order like 3 times to make sure I am not missing anything with the sales rep and this never came up. I don't know if this is an extra item to purchase or it comes with base production pack.

Yeah I got the base production pack and this stuff is missing. ANy suggestions on how to attach this beast without the plate for now?

Use the quick release plate from your tripod (Big screw), directly to the bottom of camera. The only thing is you cannot use a Mattebox.

Have fun shooting.

BTW I just received the Shoulder dovetail and Bottom plate that was on back order and it is beautiful!

until you get the back ordered products you can use a clip-mattebox if you need some filters like ND.

NO I got the office late and was welcomed by about 3 of my staff standing around the waiting room. 1 of them was too excited and took everything out of the box for me already. SO I didn't get a chance to document any of this.

I am looking forward to making a parody this weekend about Mercedes Benz. Here's the plot

New shiny GL550 driving around, loud rap music.. you can't see the driver. THe car pulls up the hydrolics lower the car down, the door pops open, and there's a little baby (wearing a hat backwards) climbing down from the driver's seat. The whole thing finishes with

.. not just for the old farts..
