Just after I had the upgrade to the new olpf, my Dragon went for a two month rental.

And now I have it back for the first time since.

I cannot say how cool it is.

What I am shooting now is mostly a for fun and for my brother project. He's arranging a summerdance school for kids and youth from all over the world in Barcelona. And I am just shooting some promo material for him with "whatever is available.

I am on tour with a macbook air, and redcine-x basically (as resolve cannot be used without a higher resolution screen) travelling light.

But it is pretty fun...

So if you can take some enthused shots here, I'll post them over the next few weeks.

Dragon is an amazing thing...

Well these are handheld, available light during the rehersals...
Mostly fluoerescent/mixed light.
Run and gun as you can get them...

As I am on an air, I am not sure if the 2k's will show up on the links...

First batch:

You will have the 2k's on my facebook, though...

Hafta stress that what comes out of this is basically me, who is there, what happens and whatever lights are there, and little post post options...

Looks Great Gunleik

The 2x frames shot at 3200 is there any Noise Reduction applied in RCX ?

Thanks for sharing

Thx

As to the questions, this is not the latest MBA, it has a 1.3 GHZ i5 and intel HD graphics 5000 and 4GB ram.

I would've supposed it to stand still, but...

Adding a FW port for the cardreader, it has 2x USB3, copying works fine....

It also transcodes to half debayer ProresProxy at ca 2x the speed of the copy, if I start both processes at the same time.

In RCX, it plays back 1/8 rez quite ok, 1/4, is really no point as the screen isn't even HD...

Offline/online is my friend with light harware. Here, too

2 days of shooting is 18GB for offlines (which I make while I shoot) for 634 GB of RAW files.

Have to conform to RCX, as resolve 11 starts, but you cannot see the menues.

And it renders the finnished prores at least as fast as an old "non open CL" MBP

As to the underexposed shots...

No noisereduction.
But they looked like this (brightness wise) when shot at 3200. It's not like I had to push them 5 stops more to get there.

Great stuff as usual Gunleik.

Nice video Gunleik. I like the 'seriousness' of this one, along with the colour and more informal nature of the previous one.

thx. got the ok from Moby on "Moby free", to use some of his music on the next one, which will focus solely on the kidz...

they'll all be pretty informal.

me and a cam and the funniest/cheapest manfrotto 1cm ballhead stand with insect like thin feet...

i'd imagine it is cool for gopro.

but this is holidays.

i take what i get... :-)
