  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Feature request: IPP2 in FCP X

I think Mark is right, Once the SDK is released it should be in there. Bit it is a drag that not even RLF is in there now.

I'm probably not the typical Red shooter.. but I'm almost 100% in FCPX and shoot a Scarlet-W and Raven. In FCPX 10.4, the RED RAW settings available haven't changed since earlier versions of either FCPX or camera firmware (see screen grab). Shooting Scarlet-W, importing and editing in FCPX, I don't have access to IPP2 at any point, only "legacy" options.

I could correct and render files first in Redcine-X, or set up a proxy/roundtrip workflow... that's what I have to do with Resolve and CinemaDNG from my Inspire 2, so it's familiar enough. Still, the fast, in-built RAW workflow in FCPX, as well as access to Neat Video for noise and myriad color plugins, and FCPX's new color controls... it's a pretty awesome way to work with R3D. Sadly, looks like IPP2 isn't going to be a practical option for my quick, small-crew workflow until it comes to Scarlet-W and FCPX.
